There are only a handful of components in a suitcase that can actually fail. We spend most of our time on those, and very little on anything you will only see in a photograph.
The shell
Polycarbonate, and a finish that forgives.
Our hard cases are moulded from polycarbonate, which flexes under impact instead of cracking. The exterior carries a fine vertical micro-groove texture — it stiffens the panel slightly, and it hides the scuffs that a glossy shell collects within a month.
The finish is matte rather than high-gloss. Matte marks less visibly, and it reads quieter under airport lighting.

Wheels
Silent double spinners
Four 360° double wheels with sealed bearings. Doubles spread the load across a wider contact patch, which is why they roll quietly over tile and do not chatter over the gaps in a jet bridge.
Zips
YKK, chain and slider
Both the chain and the slider are YKK. Mismatched hardware is the most common point of failure on a soft bag, and it is the cheapest thing to get right.
Handles
Anodised aluminium
A three-stage telescopic handle with a reinforced housing. It locks at each stage with a positive click rather than friction, so it does not creep down while you walk.
Lining
Recycled, and removable
The interior lining is recycled polyester and unzips completely for washing. A bag you cannot clean is a bag you replace early.
Hardware
Recessed TSA lock
The combination lock sits flush with the shell rather than protruding, so it is not the first thing to catch on a conveyor belt.
Soft goods
Canvas and full-grain leather
The Weekender uses 16 oz cotton canvas with full-grain leather trim and solid brass hardware. The handles soften with use instead of flaking.
Testing
Run it until something breaks. Then fix that.
Before a design ships we put it through loaded rolling tests over rough flooring, drop tests on corners and wheels, handle cycle tests, and zip open-close cycles. Anything that fails goes back to the spec.
We are not going to quote you a comparison chart against other brands. We do not have access to their test data, and we are not going to invent it. What we can tell you is what we test, and that every piece carries a lifetime warranty against defects in materials and workmanship.
